Upcoming Men's Club EventsOn August 11, 1957, a group of men met for a chicken dinner at the previous clubhouse to discuss forming a Men's Club at the lake.  The response was so great that another meeting was held the following day to formally organize the Men's Club of Culver Lake!Since its inception on that memorable day in August, the Men's Club of Culver Lake has played a vital role in the life of our lake.  The original goals as established by the club--to strengthen the bonds of friendship, promote the welfare of our young people and, through cooperation with other Culver Lake organizations, enhance the quality of life in the Culver Lake community--have remained steadfast through the ensuing years. In the spring of 1958, the Men's Club, as well as the entire lake community, was sorely tested when a catastrophic fire destroyed the previous clubhouse.  Under their leadership, with the cooperation of all the other lake organizations as well as the entire Culver Lake community, the Men's Club tackled its most important project to date, namely the planning, rebuilding and furnishing of our current clubhouse. In July of 1959, the Men's Club Fishing Committee (now know as the Fishery Management Committee) was formed for the purpose of stocking the lake with fish.  Its' goals are simple: to protect and improve the fishing habitat, maintain annual stocking of fish, and provide information and education for Normanoch members. The Men's Club has traditionally met on Friday evenings at 7:30 pm, however, meetings and activities are scheduled annually to meet the needs of Men's Club members, as well as the lake community.  A wide variety of activities includes special programs, guest speakers, fund raisers, and lake community projects.  The guest speakers, fund raisers, and lake and community projects.  The Men's Club has traditionally helped with the smooth running of the clubhouse and over the years has donated many needed items.Membership is open to all men who are members in good standing of the Normanoch Association.  As with any organization, our strength is in direct proportion to the active participation of our membership.  We join the Normanoch Association and other lake organization in saying "Welcome to our Culver Lake community."Please come out and join us for camaraderie, for good times, AND the opportunity to help keep Culver Lake a wonderful place in which to live and raise our families!
